Touch Arcade (Dec 19, 2013)
To call it "gaming candy" would be a useless cliche and a gross mischaracterization for such a game. Such a tired term would imply it has little to no nutritional value for your brain. The artwork and characters may look sugary sweet but it's plotting and physics elements that require you to think ahead before you cut the line makes it something that your mind won't regret gorging on after a long session and binging and purging.
GameZebo (Dec 19, 2013)
Many rope-based physics puzzlers have hit the App Store since the introduction of the original Cut the Rope, but Cut the Rope 2 demonstrates Om Nom is still the top monster. He should prove to be good company if you don't want to make extended eye contact with your relatives this holiday season.
Pocket Gamer UK (Dec 19, 2013)
Cut the Rope 2 is a more vibrant, more dynamic game than the original, but one that's clearly aimed squarely at existing fans of the series who just can’t get enough of its candy-swinging gameplay
MacLife (Dec 19, 2013)
Cut the Rope 2 works in some new puzzle mechanics, but we hoped the series’ first numbered sequel would feel just a bit more distinctive.
VentureBeat / Gamesbeat (Dec 19, 2013)
While the newest Cut the Rope is one of the most creative and entertaining games you’ll download on the App Store this month, you may already be bored with Om Nom and the trouble you go through to give him sweets. As much as you may still want to pinch his chubby cheeks, that cuteness won’t excuse the routine or make this “unexpected adventure” any less predictable.
Game Revolution (Dec 19, 2013)
It’s only a small knock, though, because Cut the Rope 2 is an extremely fun, adorable, easy to learn, yet challenging game. With over 100 stages of fun, each lasting about a minute in length, Cut the Rope 2 is both good for quick bursts of gameplay or longer bouts on the go… until it’s time to pay, then only the most invested players will check back or pay.
Gameplay (Benelux) (Jan 31, 2014)
