Digital Spy (May 21, 2013)
Frozen Synapse on iPad offers everything that made the PC original great, along with multiplayer support between the iPad and PC. Those looking for deep strategy on the go need to look no further.
App Spy (May 17, 2013)
A premiere strategy experience for the iPad, primarily focused on multiplayer, whose touch controls create a more engaging experience than its PC counterpart.
GameZebo (May 16, 2013)
This is, of course, a minor distraction in an otherwise engrossing and technically flawless game. What was already a much-loved PC game has been ported to iPad in nearly pristine condition, with an almost unbelievable amount of content and play value. If just one of Frozen Synapse’s many game modes was available on iPad, it would be one of the most original and rewarding tactical experiences on the platform. With everything else on offer, itmay just be the One.
MacLife (May 16, 2013)
This great indie port flops turn-based strategy on its head with delightful asynchronous chaos and intense multiplayer matches.
TouchGen (May 16, 2013)
Frozen Synapse does so many things right on iPad: Single player, multiplayer, and the thoughtful tactical gameplay that is consistent in both modes. If you have any fondness for tactical games, don’t hesitate before jumping headfirst into Frozen Synapse.
InsideGamer (May 18, 2013)

Personally, though, I feel like Frozen Synapse is a great addition to the iPad’s library. There are a lot of ins and outs to learn and remember but it can be a very rewarding and entertaining strategy game for those who are willing to give it a shot.
Modojo (May 20, 2013)
You have to work hard to penetrate the unfriendly surface of Frozen Synapse, not just because of the depth of strategy, but also a rather unfortunate disregard for the early days of the eager but uncertain newcomer. Persevere though, and you'll be rewarded with one of the finest tactical games you can get for your tablet.
Touch Arcade (May 16, 2013)
Frozen Synapse succeeds at bringing a beloved PC game to iOS. It is fiercely faithful in bringing the whole experience to mobile which has its own pros (tons of content, great online experience) and cons (archaic menu system, hard to manage UI). This is a great strategy title which is enjoyable on many levels. There is complexity there if you want it or you can stay on the surface and have a great tactical experience.
Pocket Gamer UK (May 16, 2013)
A very good port of an excellent strategy game, Frozen Synapse is equally gripping whether your opponents are human or otherwise
