Thunderbolt Games (Sep 10, 2012)
In spite of a few unfortunate hiccups, Puzzle Craft is quite simply one of the best games I’ve played on iOS this year. It might look like a freemium design from afar, but it has much more to offer than simple social trappings. The game’s a well-oiled, spit-polished masterpiece of casual gaming that needs to be on your iOS device.

Each building serves a purpose too, such as a mill to make wheat appear more frequently and a barn to collect chickens without spending a turn. Collecting new resources lets you build new structures, which will aid in collecting resources more efficiently. Everything in Puzzle Craft feeds back on itself, creating an addictive and satisfying loop. And while Puzzle Craft does allow you to purchase more coins through microtransactions, they are hardly necessary, keeping the focus squarely on the satisfying puzzles where your hard work is rewarded with a bustling village.
Touch Arcade (Aug 24, 2012)
I'm not sure I needed a game in my life with the same hooks used by both Dungeon Raid and Triple Town—each of those alone ate hours and hours of my life. Now that I have it, though, there's no giving Puzzle Craft up. There are better games I could be playing, but there aren't many as constantly satisfying. There's a reward around every corner, and getting there is the fun part—how do you say no to that?

An entertaining experiment, Puzzle Craft won't convert anyone to its slow-paced cause, but it'll certainly keep fans entertained
