The Room is, quite simply, captivating. Incredibly well designed and absolutely gorgeous to look at, the game challenges players without frustrating them. The joy in playing, however, comes from exploring every nook and cranny -- and resisting the urge to look at the hints. The game creates an incredible aura of suspense, which is impressive when you realize you're simply pinching, zooming, and flipping for most of the game. Few games use the touch controls of mobile phones and tablets as well as this one does.

The Room is a mind-bending puzzler that anyone can pick-up-and-play. The visuals are breath-taking and the game play is truly well-designed. Besides the fact it felt a little short, there wasn’t anything that I disliked about it. If you love a good mystery and games that make you feel clever, I highly recommend buying The Room today. It’s an Apple Editor’s Choice game this week as well.

Edle Präsentation, intuitive Steuerung, knifflige Rätsel, mysteriöses Flair – The Room hat alles, was ein unterhaltsames Puzzle-Adventure braucht.

But how can you say no? The secrets are there to be found, and the puzzles so tantalizingly solvable. You might be looking into the abyss, but could you stop? Likely no more than could the man whose footsteps you follow. The search leads you on toward some greater truth—let's hope the future of The Room makes that truth a little more satisfying.

The Room is great. The puzzles are both challenging and discoverable, and you’ll milk at least three hours of fun gameplay from the app. The graphics and sound are top-notch. If you prize replayability over those other factors, however, note that it’s limited; once you’ve completed The Room, it’s unlikely you’ll want to go through the entire game again. But you’ll probably get a kick out of introducing the game to someone else and watching them work their way through it.
