Like most of Gameloft's iPhone Apps, Brain Challenge looks and sounds great. Its bright colors and polygonal instructors go well with its loud music. Numbers, shapes and attractive backgrounds aren't the best iPhone can do, but considering the material, the developers did a fine job.

The game itself will keep track of your progress and occasionally ask you other questions to see how your knowledge is in general, making even the interface aspects of it interesting. You can play through any of the games that you've unlocked one at a time in the training mode too, just in case you want to practice getting better at them. Overall, this is a pretty solid game that is worth keeping on your iPhone for awhile.

But as iPhone's first brain trainer, Brain Challenge is an excellent start. It's smart, slick and a pleasure to play.

Brain Challenge does a decent job of working your brain out. Those who’ve played brain games on the Nintendo DS and elsewhere won’t find anything new – just different. Anyone can play these games and practicing improves your test score, but I can’t guarantee you’ll get smarter.
