Whether you're a fan of the Bandicoot franchise or not (and this reviewer has never really found much appeal in the Taz rip-off), Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D is undeniably one of the most playable, attractive and intuitive showcases for the iPhone's gaming capabilities.
AppCraver (Aug 18, 2008)
The music, special effects, and game play is world-class, and fully justifies the $9.99 price tag. Users seem to agree – this is the third most popuar paid app on the appStore.
IGN (Jul 21, 2008)
Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D is the best racer in the App Store right now, complete with tight controls and lots of tracks to unlock. The only reasons I can imagine you would not enjoy it would be a lack of interest in racing games or a baseline revulsion to the Crash character. Otherwise, roar up to the starting line with this one.

Crash Bandicoot is a pretty well done game that satisfies the needs of an arcade racing game fan. It provides multiple play modes, unlockable levels and characters. Throw into the mix the usual kart features of various power-ups and you have everything to provide good replay value. All this variety adds up to enough to keep you coming back. The only sad part is that it could be so much better.
Macworld (Jul 31, 2009)
Even with these drawbacks, Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D remains a fun title for the iPhone, an outstanding means of killing some free time and one of the better racing titles for the platform. Its $6 price tag is reasonable and with a few code fixes, a good thing can become that much better.
