Appletell (May 05, 2009)
This has to be the easiest $6 you’ll ever spend in the App Store. Anybody who remembers the days of the Macintosh clones, Motorola 86xx processors, or the dreaded Performa will likely remember playing this game when it first came out. And what a great memory; Myst was one of the first games that truly showcased the power of then-new CD-ROM technology. By packing in stunning visual graphics, an immersive soundtrack, and video footage, an entire world came alive in vibrant detail (contrast it with the flat graphics on game consoles of the period, if you weren’t born yet, to see the difference). And just imagine if you could actually touch that world…oh, wait! Now you can!

Cyan’s port of the old classic to the iDevice is impressive, and the game is well-suited for the stop-and-go play often required of the iDevice. Myst was an incredibly popular computer game, and now it has found a comfortable new home on the iDevice. For the price of $5.99, it's well worth it.

Myst for iOS is for now the most definitive version of Myst that we have. Finally, we have the graphics were originally envisioned meeting one of the best interfaces for this kind of games.
Macworld (Jun 17, 2009)
Overall, this port of Myst to the iPhone and iPod touch has remained extremely faithful to the original game—it looks even better than you may remember due to the iPhone’s high-resolution screen.
IGN (May 11, 2009)
Myst is still a marvel of design and narrative -- it remains one of my favorite adventure games, even after all of these years. Digging into the iPhone edition of the game was a treat because everything was exactly where I remembered it, even if it took some poking around to jog those memories. The game may look dated to some, but these scenes have been nicely up-scaled for the iPhone. If you love the original Myst or wanted to play it but just never had the means to do so before, download this game. It is a perfect fit for the platform and worth both your time and download dollars.
Adventure Gamers (Dec 01, 2009)
While it adds no extra functions apart from a limited (and necessary) zoom feature and the utilities already available on the system, that leaves the emphasis where it truly belongs: on the game itself, where it continues to shine even today.
FOK!games (May 22, 2009)
