So I have been thinking of adding the game's different Table Packs, instead of somehow shoving it all in the description. Here's the thing: on the iOS and Android versions it's all in-app purchases instead of being like in the consoles. Would that still count for inclusion? As the packs are usually released first on those devices, while consoles have to wait later (then again 360 owners have been waiting over a year for anything past Table Pack 3)

Just asking.

Yup. And even then those were delisted recently. Many suspect it's got to do with the planned relaunch of the game since Crave apparently resurfaced from its bankruptcy. Hopefully.

...anyway. I think that for the iOS/Android versions it'll be a bit complicated in terms of release dates since I'm pretty sure that neither iTunes/App Store nor Google Play have any version history page of any kind. I have asked on the (sort of official) forums for the game, Pinball Arcade Fans, and so far I got this:

http://pinballarcadefans.com/entry.php/56-Netizen-s-scores-muah-ha-ha

He keeps the dates of each update, but he has said that they might be off on some cases as he has been involved with the game's beta testing starting with pack 7 (I'm gonna guess it was as one of the backer rewards of either the Twilight Zone or Star Trek TNG kickstarters). For the console versions it won't be a problem as I can just get them off of the PSN page and (on the 360 version's case) off of the Web Archive (as the DLC for that version was recently delisted).

Appshopper keeps a list of appstore updates:

http://appshopper.com/games/pinball-arcade

If you can find changelogs for the different version numbers (I haven't looked) you could find out which table came with which update.

Also, the Mac version: http://appshopper.com/mac/games/pinball-arcade and the free version: http://appshopper.com/games/pinball-arcade-free

For Android use www.appszoom.com - go to the download section and then the changelog tab to find the earliest date. If it's not listed, use Google Play with the latest date and that version number.

Okay, I'm starting to add some of the packs now, and so that the descriptions wouldn't get too similar and short, I thought of a few things:

  • Adding a little description about each table: Might help, but that might also mean I'd have to add descriptions to the tables included with the game, and that'll make it even more convoluted.
  • Mentioning some details on a game group for the game: I thought of mentioning things such as the Pro upgrades certain tables have and mentioning that the table packs have the same features as the core tables (eg: leaderboards, extras, achievements/trophies, etc.) so that there's no redundancy amongst descriptions.

Added a few more as well as the two versions of the Season One bundle. Now, here's a thing:

There's also a Season Two bundle, or rather, a Season Two pass. Now, the problem is: we've yet to know what the remaining packs are (FarSight hasn't officially announced pack 18 yet even though everyone got the clue, while packs 19 and 20 haven't even been mentioned yet), so what I wanted to know is this:

Would it be convenient to add both versions of the Season Two bundle/pass and just put some placeholder thing for not-yet-revealed packs, or would it be better to just wait until after pack 20 comes out?

You can do it now and mention the remaining ones as Pack 19 and Pack 20 and then update the description once they're out.

I've approved the last ones for the PS3/Vita platforms. It seems that the publisher for those is FarSight Technologies rather than FarSight Studios. Most entries (pack 1 to 8) need that changed.

The Android and iOS pltaforms for those I approved still need to be approved, too.

Not really. iOS and Android do have them as FarSight Studios, and on PS3/Vita the FarSight Technologies name is only used for the store page, since the game itself does use the FarSight Studios name.

To expand on the iOS/Android thing, because I found some stuff:

In early 2013 (can't remember if it was on January or February) FarSight decided to make Tales of the Arabian Nights free for iOS, Android and Kindle Fire users. Before that, at least on iOS (TPA's always had a free version on Android and Kindle Fire), the paid version included only Tales of the Arabian Nights, with the other tables being available for either separate purchase or all combined. Either way it all costed 10 dollars, like with the console versions (TOTAN was 1 dollar, Ripley's was $4, Black Hole was $2 and Theatre of Magic was $3). Now, here's the thing: I have played the iOS version on a relatives' device recently, and it was the free version, and it did have TOTAN free like in the Android version. So I really don't know how they changed it.

If anyone's got the iOS version or an iOS device, I'd love to know if the paid and free versions are any different.
