DescriptionScourge: Ambush is a point-and-shoot game where quick reflexes and reaction speed are required. Created as an spin-off of Scourge: Outbreak, it focuses on Echo Squad's fight for survival before the events of the main plot. You take on the role of a member of Tarn's infiltration squads on Nogari Island and your goal is survive multiple waves, defeat all enemies and accomplish the proposed missions. There are four characters available: Amp, Mass, Stonewall or Shade, each with different skills values. At the beginning of the game, only one level is available. As you play, you unlock new levels completing the missions on each unlocked level.
The gameplay places the character in a fixed position with a first-person view. The player only controls the cross-hair to mark and shoot enemies with the ability to look around in 360 degrees with support for gyroscope input. To succeed all spawned enemies need to be located and killed before they have an opportunity to shoot you. You need to recharge your weapon every time you empty the magazine. During the game you can use special abilities such as a shield and shockwave. With shield you are protected from enemies while your energy is reduced. Shockwave produces a big wave that kill all enemies on screen.
In some levels you can fight against special bosses, where you need to follow a specific strategy to kill them. A public leaderboard system keeps track of the best scores. There are fifteen levels in total, six bosses and four different weapons.
