DescriptionSwordigo is a 2.5D side-scrolling platformer set in a fantasy realm. The player controls a young apprentice who discovers his master has disappeared. He locates him in the woods, where he has been defeated by Corruptors who have invaded the realm. The only chance is for the apprentice to find a weapon powerful enough to defeat the Corruptors. The game starts in Cairnwood Village and from there additional, surrounding locations are unlocked.
The character is moved around using two arrows on the left side of the screen. The right side of the screen has three buttons to jump, attack with a sword and launch a magic spell. Both small and longer jumps can be performed, as well as double jumps. By double tapping the movement arrows it is possible to run. Enemies are attacked using a sword and it can also be used to deflect projectiles. Defeating them is rewarded with experience used to level up. With each new level one of the three main characteristics can be improved: health, attack or magic. Defeated enemies also leave behind soul shards that are the main currency to buy items in the shop, such as new spells, a better sword or a healing potion. There are various portals to return to the shop in the main village. By defeating enemies and destroying objects health and magic orbs can be found to fill the respective meters.
Some environments have an alternative paths with additional quests. Some doors require a key or a specific weapon, there are small dungeons and there are various optional treasure chests. The character can pick up small objects or boxes and use them to reach higher platforms. Next to regular movement there are moving platforms with a lot of jumping.
