So the 3DO engine uses standard flat (textured) polygons to render its world. From the screens here, it looks like the Amiga and Mac versions use shaded polys in a similar way. Is the DOS version the only one that uses voxels for its environment?

Bought the DOS version off GOG, and its heavily warping landscape is making it something of a struggle to play.

I wouldn't even call it voxels (voxel = volume pixel)- It's more like a crapload of sprites on a heightmap to me. It's a very SEGA-ish approach.

I'll buy that. It does remind me of the trackside scenery in OutRun.

Should it be removed from the voxel graphics game group? Or is that still technically accurate?
