I may be a shill for the Kirby series, but I honestly believe Super Star deserves every point of its 5-star rating…just try not to think about all the widows and orphans Kirby creates with his wave of unrelenting violence.
SNESThe Retro Spirit (Dec 09, 2012)

SNESRetro Game Reviews (Dec 21, 2018)
Kirby Super Star contains hours upon hours of extremely entertaining content and the sheer quality and variation on offer throughout the collection is astounding. The Great Cave Offensive could easily have been a top-tier SNES retail game by itself, so consider the rest to be the cherry on top of a very delicious cake!
SNESRetroGame Man (Apr 10, 2016)
In summary, Kirby Super Star might just be the best Kirby game ever made because of its awesome selection of powers, variety of different game types, and fun 2-player cooperative mode. Compared to other platform games it’s simple, short, and has uninteresting bosses. Nevertheless, this is the type of game (like MegaMan 2 or Mario 3) where you can just replay it over and over because the goal really isn’t to beat the game – it’s to hang out and game with you family and friends!
WiiNintendo Life (May 20, 2010)
If you're a fan of the Kirby series, Kirby Super Star is the game to own. Not only are there quite a few homages to classic releases in the series strung throughout the game, but there are also enough new gameplay ideas tossed into the mix to please even long-time fans of the series who've given the previous games countless play-throughs. Sure the difficulty is a bit on the easy side, but as anyone familiar with the series should know by now, difficulty is certainly not what the Kirby games are about anyway. It's easy to see why Kirby Super Star is widely regarded as the best release in the series, and it won't take you long to see just why that is once you dive into these entertaining adventures.
The majority of games simply aren't this good. It stands aside from the crowd and you'd be crazy to miss it.
What a cool game - I love it.

SNESNintendo Land (2003)
Used game stores like FuncoLand typically want up to $30 for a copy, but if you can find one with the box and instructions, I'd suggest jumping on it. I was able to find a brand-new copy for $19.99 (a super deal) at a larger Electronics Boutique, but it was the last copy there (and they never even had heard of it when I first asked), so I don't expect this great game to stick around much longer. Pick it up if you can.

SNESThe Video Game Critic (Jan 10, 2000)
Kirby Super Star actually contains eight Kirby games, but two need to be unlocked, and two others are so minor they probably shouldn't even count. Still, six games is a lot of action for your money, especially when they dish out the quality gameplay you would expect from Nintendo. Inhaling enemies not only fun, but it allows Kirby to absorb their powers. This changes his appearance slightly and gives him the ability to execute moves like throwing fire or swinging a sword. Kirby also has the option of converting enemies into "friends" who will fight along side of him. These friends can even be controlled by a second player! These Kirby games are truly goofy yet oddly compelling. The graphics tend to be simple but have a clean, colorful appearance that's easy on the eyes. The controls are dead-on, and the cartridge includes a battery to save your progress. In you can look past Kirby's cutsey appearance, I think you'll find this compilation to be well worth your time.
As ever the character design and stage layout is cleverly presented, and the variety in styles means you're not in a position to compare this with anything else in your collection. Assuming you still love your Super Nintendo, this is a game worth spending time with. But, yes, it is easy.
