Landwirtschafts Gigant
Description
Landwirtschafts Gigant is a managerial simulation in which the player takes control over a farm. The basics follow the usual tycoon standard: the player buys a piece of land (only money is the limiting factor regarding size) and constructs buildings which have different functions. It is important to end up with complete production cycles, either agricultural or breeding, so there are end products to sell. The game features a task manager in which the player has to set the production steps for the staff, including driving the merchandise off to the customer. The earned money can then be reinvested in expanding the farm and more production cycles.
The game allows to just produce goods, but of course it is more profitable to take the wishes of the surrounding cities into account: when their demands are met, the city grows and develops more expensive tastes. Another way to make money are forward transactions in which the farm has to deliver goods at a certain date (either one-time or periodically) - of course those contracts give good money but also substantial financial penalties when a deadline is missed.
The main playing mode is the campaign which is basically an endless game which only ends when the farm has no money left (although bank credits can help with that). Unusually for a game of this kind, it features an experience point system: points are earned by producing goods and a level up unlocks more buildings and vehicles to use. The player can also invest skill points to unlock perks like less power consumption; those points are earned after level ups or by meeting achievements like selling a certain amount of a good. The scenario mode features some missions in which the player has to solve specific goals with the provided means.
