An excellent educational reading adventure game, but too lengthy!

The Good
This is one of my favourite childhood games of the late 90s when I was very young. The one thing I liked the most is that the game focuses on reading skills. The stories were easy to understand, and the theme song is excellent, at least in my time.

The Bad
I've had problems with the speech recognition where the characters don't understand what I am saying (That's right IBM ViaVoice, you've made my day misreading my voice), and for the most part, the entire game (and its sections) are too lengthy. Wow, that's literally a waste of time for some children!

The Bottom Line
This has to be one of the best educational reading adventures on CD-ROM out there, but the lengthiness did not make it into the game itself, as I was wasting time getting all the letter sounds right using the speech recognition. But anyway, I highly recommend this game to young children who are beginning to learn how to read and want to learn a lot from this game. Oh, and the speech recognition only works on a Power Mac or on Pentium-based Windows 95 computers, as I did some searching for the game's technical requirements. But otherwise, give it a go and you will see what I mean!
