Description official description

Moto RKD Dash is an arcade motorcycle racing game. It is based on the concept of the physical toy Moto made in Bulgaria in 1980, which was turned into an LCD version in 1981 and an arcade game in 1987, with racing mechanics similar to Pole Position. It consists of ten stages that need to be completed in one go. The player controls a rider shown from a behind view on roads that always curve upwards. The goal of each stage is to reach the finish line before fuel runs out. The amount of fuel is shown in the bottom left corner and it is drained slowly while racing. Stages are short and generally only take between 60 and 100 seconds to complete. For movement the player only needs to steer left and right to avoid other racers and other characters.

Speed is based on three phases. Shifting up is possible as soon as a turbo meter is filled and then the maximum speed is maintained until a collision with an obstacle or the side of the road. Collisions bring back the bike to the first speed phase and it burns a lot of fuel to get to maximum speed again. Generally stages can only be completed by racing at the highest speed at all times. With too many collisions so much fuel is lost that the finish line can no longer be reached. There is a limited amount of continues and additional ones are earned by doing perfect runs with no collisions. Roads are almost always entirely straight, without bends or corners, meaning the player can focus entirely on avoiding the other racers.

Each stage has a different theme and slightly different mechanics. This is based on the density and speed of the opponents, but also gravity that pulls the bike in a certain direction when the road banks, narrow passages, and wind that makes the other races shift left and right constantly. The final stage has a special mechanic with a disappearing road and 'bonding' with another racer.

The PC version has two settings for different visual effects. By completing the game a bonus game RKD Champ 81 can be unlocked. It is a recreation of an 1980s version of the game played as an LCD electronic toy.
