Retro Game Age (Dec 30, 2013)
Outside of the advanced difficulty Little Nemo is one of the best action adventure games for the NES which is lofty praise but well deserved. The diverse array of levels and animal helpers help elevate it above most of its contemporaries, creating one of the best games you’ve never heard of.

Barring a disappointing final sequence that dramatically changes the gameplay by replacing the candy with a poorly implemented attack ability and throws players into frustrating boss fights, this is one of the very best platformers of its time.

The DOS Spirit (Dec 12, 2012)
Little Nemo: The Dream Master er utilgivelig, magisk, irriterende, morsomt og frusterende – alt på en gang.

RetroGame Man (Feb 20, 2018)
In summary, this is a timeless 2D platforming game that has uniquely open levels, awesome gameplay, and great music! While challenging, the charm of running through dreamscape levels and obtaining powers of enemies makes it all worthwhile!

There are plenty of secrets, alternate paths, and various strategies involving the animal friends to keep players coming back, with only a few frustrations to weigh against it. The last level is different from the others mechanically, with a satisfying boss fight and a good story that makes for a rewarding fantasy.

Lens of Truth (Sep 16, 2011)
Little Nemo: The Dream Master was one of my favorite games on the NES. It is difficult but if you learn the patterns and keep trying you’ll master it easily – which is how gaming should be. Makes you feel like you’re getting a game that lasts for your money. Great graphics and sound, fun and different gameplay, from the intro to ending, Little Nemo: The Dream Master is a satisfying playthrough.

NES Times (Oct 23, 2007)
So in the end Little Nemo still proves to be another solid release from Capcom. Great graphics and sounds combined with some good arcade action and some cute charm make this a good title to pull out and pop into your NES every so often, even though Capcom could have address some of the flaws that pop up. Even if you're way too young to remember the comic strip (which is more than likely everyone), this game is still a gamer's dream.

If you are looking for a Platform game with a different style of gameplay, it's worth it to try Nemo. As if you are wanting to walk around in your house as of being 2 inches tall, or being in a oversized house of toys, this game is one of the most imagitive games out there.

Little Nemo isn't short on ideas, finding which creatures to use where and how is quite entertaining and makes the game somewhat more cerebral than your average platformer. The graphics aren't all that bad really, although the sprites are a little poorly defined at times, and the sound is passable.Unfortunately, Little Nemo is very frustrating for a couple of reasons. For starters the collision detection is pretty dodgy in the favour of the enemy creatures, allowing them to hit you from miles away whilst your attacks fail to connect despite their accuracy. The worst thing about Little Nemo is the number of instant-death locations where it is impossible to avoid injury. There's nothing worse than being down to your last reserves of energy and knowing you are approaching a trap or enemy which is going to kill you, without possible hope of escape. Little Nemo could have been a great game, as it is it's just a good effort spoiled by some tedium-inducing flaws.

This game represents a down-scaled version of some of the best action/advenutes, successfully capturing the proven game play and mixing it up with some nice pastel graphics. The action never gets too furious, but the game remains solid throughout most of the adventure.

Geeks Under Grace (May 29, 2014)
Little Nemo the Dream Master is a fantastic game. The colors truly pop off the screen, and the music is fantastical. It carries the name of 2D platformer quite well, and is considered a cult classic in the United States.

Little Nemo might appear like a cutesy Capcom game, in the vein of their work with Disney, but you’ll have to work hard to unlock those doors at the end of every stage. Keep flinging out candy, experimenting with your animal friends, and hope you don’t wind up at the feet of the Nightmare King, wondering what day it is. Sugar and dreams don’t always mix.
