Batman Returns

The Good
It's Batman and I got it for free.

The Bad
Batman never goes out of style but for some reason they totally got all stupid with this game, and this made me sad because the Lynx was capable of so much more, including complicated effects like scaling, which could have been applied to some unique first person perspectives. They simply went with a side scroller that had the same basic gameplay as many of the other 8 and 16 bit games of the day. No real puzzles, no real story line, and even the action was weak when it could have been faster and punchier. It looked good at first; the Batman Returns splash screen hits you in the beginning and makes you think this is a game with style, but then you're quickly disappointed. I actually got this game as a freebie through a promotion they offered if you bought the console and some games at retail. It took them a few months but I got it and ended up never playing it more than a few times.

The Bottom Line
Retains some of the style of the movie, but none of the music or vibe.
