Mac Ledge (Sep 11, 1997)
Once you figure out what's missing from the Mac documentation and find the appropriate keys, you will discover that Circle of Blood is a solid adventure game with fine graphics, smart dialogue, and challenging puzzles. But on the whole the game remains rather bland, and, despite the fact that its developer's name is Revolutionary Software, it doesn't offer anything revolutionary in the gameplay department. (I should add, though, that the company is about to release the sequel--so far PC-only--which promises more inventive puzzles, and lots of other improvements).
Mac Addict (Sep, 1997)
Circle of Blood is an ambitiously plotted adventure game with well-made graphics and for some, this will be more than enough. However, atrocious voice acting, a dumb protagonist, and a truly terrible installer makes this game less than a bloody good time.
