Mac Gamer (1998)
Gubble is great, classic arcade fun. Excellent 3D graphics play well on even the slowest PowerMacs, and upbeat music and sounds enliven the experience. The idea is unique while following a classic game theme of enthralling the gamer with pure and challenging fun. You probably won't play Gubble every day for the rest of your life, but it will always be a very nice break from the increasingly predictable games of the late '90s. I recommend getting involved not only in Gubble, but in the upcoming Gubble 2 - though it's out on the PC too, Gubble is a Mac game through and through.
Gubble is certainly one of the best "family" games that has ever hit the Macintosh, and if it says anything about the quality of Actual Entertainment's future releases, it looks like it will be a bright future, indeed, for Actual.
