The 3-D view gives you a new perspective on your city. Zoom in at any of three magnification levels...
...and get up close and personal.
Start out by laying down residential, industrial and commercial zones and hook them up to one of the nine power plants. Then, build roads, tunnels, bridges and rail lines to move your SIMs around town. Top it off with some brand new civic improvements like prisons, zoos, universities and marinas.
Pretty soon, you'll be running a bustling metropolis.
If you decide to perform some urban renewal, the multi-layer interface allows you to turn graphic layers on and off, allowing for easier planning and construction.
Go underground and run subways and utilities without wasting valuable land or compromising your aesthetics.
Deal with familiar city problems as well as a few new surprises.
The local newspaper provides valuable information and feedback, and keeps you in touch with your SimConstituents.
Juggle your city budgets to fund those important social programs and finance some of your departments by issuing municipal bonds. If you need some advice, you can always ask one of your trusted advisors.
You can even import saved cities from the original SimCity(R) or SimCity Classic(TM) and turn a town like this...
...into this! Then, you can update your city with all the latest SimCity 2000 features.
SimCity 2000 really brings your city-and its resident Sims-to life. If this game were any more realistic, it'd be illegal to turn it off.
