Around 1999-2000, The Learning Company (as Mattel Interactive) created a teaser for the StarFlyers. This is where Katie Cadet appears in her early stages. Some differences include IO being green, and Klanker being taller. The Snooze Cruiser was also painted red instead of yellow. AJ does not make an appearance in the teaser, but there was a mention of Tony in the middle of the teaser. It was released via the working title “Katie Cadet”. In 2002, When Mattel Interactive returns to its former Learning Company name, Art Manager Fred Butts did a major improvement to Katie Cadet having goggles instead of a helmet (used in the teaser) for example. He also made her hair different than the teaser and improved her spacesuit.
