Tribal Trouble does what it does well. And really that is all that matters isn’t it? A quality, amusing game for not very much is a good thing anytime.

Tribal Trouble is my favorite RTS of 2005. Oddlabs conquered my heart with a game that's both simple and fascinating. I'm still amazed that, after my first online experiences, I was actually looking forward to playing it again the next day... and the day after... and the next day after that one... If you want a break from the narrative strategy games that flood the market at the moment, or if you want a game that's really just a game, or if you think complexity takes the fun out of casual gaming - then Tribal Trouble is for you.

I really cannot complain about this game. It is a lot of fun, the resource management is right at the level that I like it, and the action is impressive. You can use Tribal Trouble to get a quick fix if you are short on time, or you can delve into the campaign mode and spend a night of gaming bliss. I only hope that Oddlabs will continue to both develop Tribal Trouble and look into other games that can be built this impressively around the Java language and Light Weight Java Game Library. If you are into RTS games, you will definitely find something to like about Tribal Trouble. If you've been afraid of the genre, or just have never given it a chance, check out Tribal Trouble. It might just make you a fan.
Mac Games (May 01, 2010)
Tribal Trouble is a great RTS starter game for anyone who is interested in this type of play, and is still difficult enough for experienced players. The artwork full of goofy looking and almost endearing characters and sound effects are entertaining. The game involves you in an amusing way, but in order to beat the opposition you must bring your best strategic mind to the table.

Fun, fresh, appealing and easy to learn, Tribal Trouble offers plenty of challenge for experienced and new real time strategy gamers.

Written in Java and using OpenGL, Tribal Trouble is the gaming equivalent of popcorn – light and fluffy, it fills you up quickly and you’ll always be ready for more. That would be all, were it not for the rare tropical chickens that cluck around from time to time; grab hold of this most valuable resource and your weapons will develop magical powers, adding just a tiny extra element of challenge to the game and making this a mini-classic. If a hearty dollop of strategy mixed with a generous serving of gloriously colourful cartoon fun is your bag, you best get hold of a copy of Tribal Trouble. At $29.99 the game is a must have, especially if you’re buying from the iCreate side of the pond. Tell all your friends and then do battle with them.
