High Score (Jul, 1996)
Mac Gamer (1996)
Doom for the Mac is a more than worthy conversion, but as alluded to earlier, it has been a long time in coming. While a classic, this game has been surpassed in almost every aspect of game play by more recent titles of the same genre such as Marathon, Marathon 2: Durandal (both mac-only titles), Dark Forces, and Descent. Doom's main strengths lie in it's history (it is the original), the huge number of WAD levels available, and it's cross-platform network play.
