About This Particular Macintosh (May, 2003)
World War 2 Online Blitzkrieg must not be seen as an arcade-style game such as Quake, Medal of Honor, or Unreal. It is a serious combat simulation that can be enjoyed if treated as such, and gives a good historical perspective of what it was like 63 years ago. This game is most recommended for WW2 hobbyists, serious gamers, and those who like simulation games, but it may still be attractive to arcade gamers.
Mac Addict (May, 2003)
Even though a few stability, USB-connection, and graphical issues still need ironing out, World War II Online is an incredibly fun, immersive title. If you want an immersive world of action and strategic teamwork with (and against) potentially limitless opposition, this is your game.
Inside Mac Games (IMG) (Apr 11, 2003)
In the final analysis, the game is still inherently flawed. The game engine, coupled with technical server difficulties, and the massive scope of the game left me feeling as if there was something that was missing from the game. However, if you truly enjoy World War II strategy and aren't out for that quick-fix, this game could be enjoyable to you. Patience and a joystick are the two most absolutely essential requirements of the game. In the end, paying $40 for the game and $10 a month for access is not something that I can recommend. Think before you purchase this game.
