Hi, I believe this Dizzy game (among many others in the Dizzy series) should have the main genre as Adventure instead of Action, the games are based around a story with puzzle solving, item collecting, combining items and NPC dialogue, you do not kill enemies (unless it's part of the story/puzzle solution). There are some timing jumps if that could be considered Action, but these have always been considered Adventure games among fans, the first Dizzy game is even titled "The Ultimate Cartoon Adventure". Thanks.

Dizzy games epitomize a stream of action-adventure games, but they have always been far out of the graphical adventure mainstream. Basically, I beg to differ. The fans are not always the most unbiased authorities to consult with.

Not mainstream? 12 Dizzy games reached #1 in the charts.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dizzy_(series)

"Most of the games in the series were platform-adventure games, with an emphasis on puzzle solving, collecting objects and interacting with other characters. In addition to these core adventure games"

The Wiki for Dizzy shows 4 genres - Adventure, Platformer, Puzzle, Arcade. Not once in the entire article is a Dizzy game referred to as Action.

The Adventure definition by Moby's own glossary fits the criteria -

"Adventure: Adventure games emphasize experiencing a story through dialogue and puzzle solving. Gameplay mechanics emphasize decision over action. Puzzle solving usually revolves around combining or manipulating items to advance the story."

The Dizzy games deserve to have Adventure in their genre, even if you want to call it "Action, Adventure".
