Description
Microzine is an educational disk-based magazine published by Scholastic between 1983 and 1992. Each issue generally contains a simple adventure game, often with a Choose Your Own Adventure Style. Issue no. 14 contains:
- Letter from the Editor: a look at this volume of Microzine
- The Funhouse Caper: a Choose Your Own Adventure style game, where the player and their robot sidekick Wesley are invited to the Faburama Funhouse for George Goodwin's costume party. While preparing for the party, Goodwin's jeweled key to the Amazing Storybook Room is stolen. The player must visit the various rooms of the Faburama and interview the other guests at the party. Wesley can zap the suspects to learn hidden information about them. The player must solve the mystery of the thief and the location of the hidden key.
- Puzzler: a program to make crossword puzzles
- Cartoon maker: a program to make cartoons, includes a variety of graphics to use
- Inventors & Inventions: a database of famous inventions, and the history of their discovery and uses
- What's Next: a look at the next Microzine
