DescriptionMission Chameleon is a real-time action-strategy game where the player can hop in to control a selection of large insect-like robots.
An artificial-life project to send autonomous robots to colonize planets has gone awry; these "bugs" started developing weapons to eliminate humans. You're part of a task force armed with state of the art weaponry and camouflage technology, tasked to destroy any unmanageable bug colonies.
The game procedurally generates a mission based on missions taking place on five different planets. Each mission has a set number of enemy bugs to terminate. Players are given a choice from a number of robots, or bugs, to deploy during each mission. Upon the destruction of a bug, the player can deploy another one to enter it. The bugs each have their own methods of transport, such as frog robots can jump over hills whereas robots moving on treads can not. Each bug can also transform to a selection of other bugs on the fly. Players are given a variety of controls over each bug, such as separate control over the bugs' different armaments, deployable bombs as well as stealth modes.
