Nintendo 64 version

A great multi-player fighting game!

The Good
The replay value is amazing. You never get tired of playing with friends, on a team, against each other, with CPUs or without them, all the cool Nintendo characters and all the awesome items. For the most part it's side-scrolling, which is done very well, but when you pause the game in Multiplayer mode you can see amazing 3-D graphics that are on par with Mario Kart, which was made 3 years earlier but even in 1999 is pretty good. The music is great and the controls are superb.

The Bad
The one player mode is short, easy to beat and pretty much worthless. If you don't have any friends to play with it's not so cool. Some of the levels are kinda dumb or kiddy.

The Bottom Line
As long as you have friends to play this with get it, it you don't, well, rent it and then decide if it's worth the buy. For me it wouldn't be but it almost would be.
