Description
Nagagutsu o Haita Neko: Sekai Isshū 80 Nichi Daibōken is an action-platformer game based on a 70s anime movie starring a cat named Pero in a bet that he can travel around the world in 80 days, with the general plot being heavily inspired by the classic novel "Around the World in Eighty Days" by
Jules Verne. The game consists of eight stages each in a different place of the world. While some stages have you walking and jumping around in mostly side-scrolling scenes, there are also many stages that have you travel by different methods, like boats, a car, a submarine or in a balloon. Gameplay consists of jumping, dodging and shooting enemies, while you always have to try to make fast progress because there is only a limited amount of time to complete the game, and it means "Game Over" when the 80 days ingame time is over even if there are still lives left.
