Overall, aside from a couple gripes, Kid Dracula is a great game for any platformer or Castlevania fan. I would really love to see this ported to the 3DS or Wii U’s virtual console so more people can experience it. Very solid, and I am happy to start my Famicom journey with this.

I love this game. I’ll never know why this was cancelled but frickin Bayou Billy and Stinger came over. I can at least understand publishing Top Gun, as much as I hated that game. Quality titles like Boku Dracula Kun should have come over. This is a fantastic platformer and an excellent addition to any NES library.

Thunderbolt Games (Oct 19, 2007)
As its title states, this game really is something "special". Characteristically faultless platforming combined with a charmingly, innocent ambience that blissfully pokes fun at everything that the proper Castlevania games take too seriously - Kid Dracula sure knows how to have a good time! Before Simon Belmont royally screwed Alucard's father (or before Leon Belmont did, if you want to be pedantic), there was already a party going on in Dracula's Demon Castle - whether or not you're a follower of all things Castlevania, you should definitely stop by to say hi and check out this vibrant take on one of the greatest franchises ever.
Given how difficult this game will actually be to FIND, I can't actually recommend you go out and spend like $50 on it. But if you happen to stumble upon it, then it's a worthy action addition to the Konami library.
