Battleship was a total waste of a license and atrocious on so many levels it's not even worth discussing further. If you're lonely and looking to play Battleship with a worthless computer, go ahead, otherwise there isn't really a reason to own this game. Hell, even if you're a collector it's a stretch to say you should. It doesn't even have rarity factor going for it, it's just bad all over. A real disappointment and shocking in certain regards.
simplistic nature of the game may get old fairly quickly, especially
since there are no game options available, and a lack of a two-player mode eliminates the biggest reason why people ever played
the original board game to begin with.
Sadly, Battleship the game bombed nearly as badly as the theatrical release. With no multiplayer, overly repetitive gameplay, and a dismal soundtrack, this game gets thrown to the pile of other poorly chosen board games that were adapted to video games (I’m looking at you Checkers!). While the talking Battleship board game is cool, even the old school one missing some red pegs outdoes this title. Do yourself a favor and invest your money into the actual Battleship, and pass on this one.
...tz..tz.....huch?
With no multiplayer mode and a repetitive story mode, there's almost no reason to spend more than a round or two with Battleship. Forget this NES game and stick with the original board game.
Battleship is a mindless money grab, and I type “mindless” with full confidence. It’s a none-too-fun video game based on an impossibly boring board game.
