This essentially Lolo’s spiritual successor. Fire ‘N Ice may not have quite as much charm, but the mechanics are SOLID and gameplay is RED-HOT fantastic. If you love putting large amounts of joy in your life, please partake of Fire ‘N Ice.
Presentation is very good, with cutscenes to tell the story, and there are world maps for each set of stages, where they can be selected and tackled in any order. Players can even try eliminating flames in stages they can create themselves! Nice graphics, animation, and music round out a very good puzzle game.
My only caveat concerning this game is that it should not be assumed by a potential buyer that a love of Solomon's Key will translate into a love of Fire 'N Ice. The games may be similar, but the differences are significant enough that one may love one title and not care for the other. If you are a puzzle enthusiast looking for a new game to sink your teeth into, however, then you should definitely give this one a go.
Easily the best puzzle game in years!
