Something I found pretty cool and wanted to share here...I'm currently going through the records of British producer Mark Ronson; pretty eclectic stuff. His last album has this whole 1980s Synth-Pop vibe, and also a few 8-bit elements, going on. One of the music clips is a direct tribute to The Legend of Zelda, and I really liked it:

Even more so because this is not some nerdy underground culture thing. We're talking mainstream album sales charts and MTV airplay.
