Night of the Little Birds

Moby ID: 154216

Description official descriptions

Night of the Little Birds is an arcade style helicopter shooter, similar to the classic Choplifter, but with more realistic and advanced controls. You are sent on various randomized missions behind enemy lines, with each level getting more difficult as you face heavier and more numerous enemies.

To control the chopper you must tilt it back or forward accordingly, then lift or descend, paying attention to momentum in order not to crash.

You can exit your chopper at any time, and even if it was destroyed you may attempt to eject. If you can retrieve your stranded pilot on your next life you get the lost one back, although you are still docked points for the destroyed chopper.

As you take off you have a limited supply of fuel, missiles and machine gun ammo. If a mission is failed but you still live you may return to the base to retry it.

There are many different types of missions you'll encounter, including rescuing POWs, escorting vehicles, retrieving intel or cargo and capturing bases.
