The other daimyos battle amongst each other. Be patient and attack when one of them is weakened
Each season you can give one of these commands

As if rebellions, invasions and typhoons weren't enough, there's also the plaque
Hire ninjas for the dirty work
Changing the composition of your 5 army units: command unit, 2 x infantry, cavalry & rifle-men
It's important to use spies to get info on the other daimyos
Battle map: first the defender gets to place his units, then the attacker
Use hills, towns & castles to your advantage
During battle you can give these orders to your units.
You can try to bribe enemy soldiers
The 50 regions map is large, conquering it all is quite a challenge
Black & white mode
You'll see this screen a lot, it isn't an easy game.
