WindowsAdventurespiele (Aug 06, 2006)
PlayStationEdutaining Kids (Mar, 2002)
This game plays very much like the PC version. Helping restore peace and order is the objective, and mini-lessons about nutrition are part of the game. Children meet funny characters and solve their dilemmas by collecting objects, making trades, and playing games. Players need to draw on logical thinking and memory skills as they guide their hero through the adventure. This video game is best for children ages 6-9.
WindowsReview Corner (May, 2000)
Another excellent title in the outstanding Pajama Sam series, PS3 is a real winner. Kids will love this engaging adventure that gets them thinking and solving problems, learning about the importance of a balanced diet, and having fun!
WindowsQuandary (May, 2000)
This is another Pajama Sam adventure where the pint-sized superhero is set to charm both the young and the old. Sam is his usual sparkling self and for this adventure he's on the look out for 20 hidden Box tops that he lost at the beginning of the game. As with all Humongous Junior Adventures there are a couple of simple arcade games to amuse young players whilst they are solving the problems and directing the story. The CD contains an in-game manual as well as game solutions and a Parent/Teacher Guide for getting kids thinking about the messages in the game. The package also contains a spiffy Pajama Man comic combined with an activity booklet.
WindowsGamer's Pulse (Jun 09, 2000)
While Pajama Sam 3 is readily accessible to children of most any age, parents will still find the game interesting enough to sit through long play sessions with their youngsters. It has none of the “annoyance factor” you may be familiar with that is occasionally found in titles written for children, and the puzzles are easy enough to be solved by developing intellects, yet challenging enough to keep your interest.
WindowsAll Game Guide (2000)
This is another excellent addition to the constantly growing lineup available from Humongous Entertainment. The only potential problem is the difficulty of some of the puzzles. While younger children probably will not play alone for too long, older children should enjoy the more difficult challenges. If you have children 5 or under, they will probably find the problem solving too challenging and will ultimately become extremely frustrated or simply give up. It's important to keep this in mind, and perhaps an adult playing the game with them may ease their tension.
MacintoshMacworld (Aug, 2000)
An appreciation of the game, however, requires patience and attention to detail; searching for clues or paths to new locations can be frustrating at times. With noteworthy animation work that varies from panoramic views to dramatic close-ups, Pajama Sam 3 creates a fun virtual reality. For kids, it should provide hours of exploration and problem-solving, and for animation-loving adults, some guilt-free pleasure.
