Trivia
Famicom save data support
In the original Famicom version, the game saved the player's progress provided they had either the Famicom Data Recorder, which records game data to audio cassettes, or the ASCII Turbofile, which saves game data to battery-backed RAM. Since neither of these peripherals were released outside Japan, non-Japanese versions did not support saving. However, The number of lives the player starts out with was increased from 4 to 50, among other differences.
