I read that you only have one "choice" of ending if you do not collect all the artefacts, but I only found 4 of 9 and still was able to

walk out the door instead of burning Red again. From the YouTube video I watched of both endings, that seems to be the ending people think you need all the artefacts for. Am I missing something?
