Financial Post (May 24, 2018)
And it’s that storytelling that ultimately makes Detroit: Become Human a masterwork of interactive science fiction. It’s smart, it’s timely, it tells us something about ourselves, and — most importantly — its android characters feel like Pinocchio come to life. It’s easy for us to believe they've made the leap that speculative writers have been predicting for decades.

Attack of the Fanboy (May 25, 2018)
Detroit: Become Human isn't really a futuristic science-fiction adventure about robots any more than The Walking Dead or The Last of Us are really about zombies. Instead, it is a social revolution simulator, where most of your choices actually matter, the story and characters are engaging and moving and the amount of narrative content is incredibly massive. Personally, I can't wait to play it for a fourth time and a fifth time and have all my family members play it as well so I can see where their choices lead them. For fans of narrative-driven video games, I can't recommend it enough.

Detroit: Become Human is a cinematic masterpiece, and easily the best work to date from developer Quantic Dreams. It’s gorgeous, sounds beautiful, and the choices made here are impactful and introspective. Better still, the exposed underpinnings encourage repeat playthroughs just to see where all of the rabbit holes go. Come for the storyline, stay for the thought provoking look at a potential near future for mankind, and where AI might fit within it.
Detroit: Become Human proves that Quantic Dream's unique brand of storytelling can stay relevant in 2018, and if anything, it stands as their best work to date.
Shacknews (May 24, 2018)
What makes Detroit: Become Human a great game, though, is that even after going back through alternate narrative branches and winding down my play time, I’m still invested. The world that Quantic Dream gave me to explore is only a short leap from the one we’re living in now, and the ideas presented have left me contemplating the role AI could play in our lives sooner rather than later. How would androids impact our personal lives, our economy, or our approach to global conflict? When Elon Musk said we should care about AI advancements I knew he was right, but Detroit: Become Human has shown me why.
GameZone (May 24, 2018)
Detroit: Become Human is the peak of Quantic Dream. It’s a culmination of everything the studio has learned by putting an authentic, intimate story that builds gradually into a story of grand proportions while combining fun and engaging gameplay that helps pad out the story. David Cage manages to juggle three different arcs while connecting them and keeping a sense of thematic consistency throughout the game. Detroit: Become Human is an achievement both for Quantic Dream/David Cage and storytelling in gaming thanks to the depth it gives to its themes that have been done in countless pieces of fiction like Blade Runner, Detroit makes a name for itself in an otherwise countless and tiring genre.
GamesRadar (May, 2018)
Immerse yourself in Detroit’s wonderfully realised world, engage with its characters and stories, and you’ll love this game.
The Loot Gaming (Jun 01, 2018)
Quantic Dream should be applauded for the game they have created. It’s gorgeous to look at, great to listen to with stellar voice acting, both interesting and entertaining to play through with great characters, an intriguing story capable of being played through multiple times. Whether you are interested in these types of games or not, there is enough here to entertain and perhaps turn you into a fan of the genre.
Riot Pixels (May 24, 2018)

Video Chums (May 24, 2018)
Even with its flaws, Detroit: Become Human marks a monumental moment in story-driven gaming. After all is said and done, the fact that your decisions have such a substantial impact reflects reality. The question is: will you make the right choices?

Gameplay (Benelux) (Jun 22, 2018)
Way Too Many Games (Jun 05, 2018)
The main thing with a game from Quantic Dream, is it doesn’t matter how I review it nor the number I use for its final score. If you don’t like cinematic narrative driven games, you won’t like Detroit. If you don’t like “David Cage” directed games, you won’t like Detroit. If you didn’t like Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls, you won’t like Detroit. But if you enjoy any of these, then Detroit: Become Human really is something special. If you enjoy thought provoking narrative gameplay then I wholeheartedly think Detroit: Become Human will resonate with you. If you are able to resist your programming that every game needs to be a third person shooter or come bundled with multiplayer and loot crates, then welcome to the revolution.

Game Rant (May 24, 2018)
Detroit: Become Human may not offer much to players who don’t like this style of game, but fans of David Cage’s work should know that Detroit is definitely one of the better stories he’s crafted so far. It’s far better than Beyond: Two Souls, and while it may not be as innovative as Heavy Rain, it’s still a pretty fun ride and its incredible visuals and interesting story definitely make it worth checking out.

IGN (May 24, 2018)
Detroit: Become Human is a poignantly pulpy interactive sci-fi drama where your choices can impact events to a greater and more satisfying degree than in most games of this type. Though I wish its story had been handled with a softer touch, especially considering the subtlety that can be conveyed through its tech and performances, its well-written and acted central trio were vital enough to me that I found myself feeling genuine distress when they were in danger and a sense of victory when they triumphed. Most importantly, Detroit offers a multitude of transparent branching paths that entice further playthroughs, and choices have a permanence that raise the stakes throughout.
Gamekult (May 24, 2018)
