This game really is a bargain. I've payed quite a bit more for games that were MUCH worse. The $10 sticker price is just right, and there's a lot of good stuff here to keep you entertained. I recommend checking out Grudge Warriors
Mega Fun (Mar, 2000)
IGN (May 30, 2000)
This game is just nonsense as far as gaming logic. It's kind of like a guy's first visit to the proctologist -- you think you know what's supposed to happen and where things are going to be going, but all along its a lot more uncomfortable than you expected, and things constantly take a turn for the worse, and you keep wondering if maybe there's something you could do or change to help make the experience a little more smooth.
GameSpot (Jun 13, 2000)
If you're deathly bored, low on funds, and sick of every game your local video store stocks, then perhaps you'll want to check out Grudge Warriors. Deep down, the game isn't half-bad - just very lean when it comes to features and presentation. The game's mechanics are solid, if uninspired, so if you're looking for a cheap way to mindlessly blow a few hours, Grudge Warriors has got you covered.
Even with the super-cheap price point of $9.99, I didn't feel that I got my money's worth. The look of the game is a grade below the 3DO and Saturn, and the vehicular combat, while not completely terrible, is leagues below what Twisted Metal and Vigilante 8 have to offer.
Gaming Age (Jun 23, 2000)
When it comes down to it, though, Grudge Warriors is barely worth the $9.99 that it costs to purchase. If you're looking for a low-priced action title and have already had your fill of Twisted Metal and Vigilante 8, there are still other options out there that are better than this.
If you can figure out what is going on, then it might not be that bad. Unfortunately, you can't.
