If you thought Doom was violent, the check this out – it’s got electric drills, sharp knives, meat seekers (missiles that home in on flesh!), flame-throwers, and you’ve got an extremely involving, non stop action game that contains enough new stuff to set itself apart from other 3- D shoot-’em-ups. PO’ed combines smooth gameplay with a huge challenge and top notch graphics, and it’s also one of the most bloody games I’ve ever seen. Recommended.
Power Unlimited (Nov, 1997)
GameFan Magazine (May, 1996)
One of the brightest moments in the history of the 3DO, PO'ed brought vast 3-D gameplay environments off the tracks, to a system that it seemed couldn't handle them as well as previously believed. Now on a true 3-D powerhouse, this great game is even better. The brisk frame rates and added features are welcome indeed. PO'ed goes beyond Doom-clone in stunning fashion and will provide even the most demanding gamer many hours of excellent 3-D gameplay.
IGN (Nov 25, 1996)
Over all, PO'ed is a fun, twisted game with a warped sense of humor. If you liked Alien Trilogy, and perhaps like to cook, PO'ed should be just your thing.
Mega Fun (May, 1996)

If you really have to have a Doom game, get Doom for Playstation. It has better replay value (Original Doom, Ultimate Doom), and is just plain better. Or, wait for Final Doom, which, from the screenshots I've seen, will be the game. PO'ed is pretty good, but bottom line is: Don't buy this game unless you are rich.
The graphics, although not crystal clear, are detailed enough as to make navigation around the many topsey-turvy levels quite easy. The differing levels, from enclosed to wide open areas, make the gamer wonder what the next level has in store for him/her. The many weapons the gamer can acquire throughout the levels adds to the game's playability. If any gamer is in doubt, they should at least give PO'ed a chance. It is an all-around good title that ranks highly among titles such as Doom and Duke Nukem 3-D.
