If you’ve played other NimbleBit offerings such as Tiny Tower or Pocket Planes only to find that they weren’t to your cup of tea, then odds are Pocket Trains isn’t going to do much to change your mind, shy of any unaccounted for obsessions with locomotives. On the other hand, if you’re enjoyed those past offerings and are looking for the next logical evolution of the concept, then look no further!

Pocket Trains sticks close to NimbleBit’s successful Pocket Planes and Tiny Tower, but it’s not hard to understand why. This is a fun ride, and best of all, it’s free.

Pocket Trains shares some of the aesthetic and gameplay formula of Pocket Planes. However, behind the similarities is an excellent transportation management title that offers deeper strategic gameplay than its spiritual predecessor. Combine this with NimbleBit’s penchant for fair IAP balancing, and Pocket Trains is yet another fun title that needs to be checked out.

NimbleBit is the best at what it does, and Pocket Trains is another impressively simple time-waster. There's nothing to it, really, and when you peel away the cutesy presentation and chiming music you're left with a clock and some coins. There's nothing wrong with that, particularly, and the exterior of the game is sweet enough that it's difficult not to get a little swept up in your rail-based adventure to begin with.
