Every aspect of Child of Light has an unmistakably artisinal, organic feel to it. None of it feels focus-tested, or designed to appeal to the broadest possible audience; rather, it always comes off as exactly the expression its creators intended. The artwork on display is stunning, and the combat is constantly engaging, and the characters openly defy genre convention. But perhaps the best thing I can say about Child of Light is that I was often unsure as to whether I was headed in the direction I was supposed to, and I never once cared. I just wanted to fly to every corner of the world, take it in, and smile.

So Child of Light is an inferior game on the PlayStation Vita, but only when compared to itself on the home consoles. The core game is as artful and superior as ever, and it's still better than 99 per cent of other games you can get on Sony's handheld.

Child of Light’ın PS Vita sürümü oyunun yapısı gereğince çok uyumlu olmuş diyebilirim.

Child of Light is the type of game that the industry needs right now. Digital distribution is gaining popularity, and some of the oldest and largest publishers are struggling to adapt with the newer market trends. Some are stuck attempting to hit it big every few years with another large AAA title, or have ventured into the realm of free-to-play mobile titles. Ubisoft is well aware of where the market stands, and is mixing it up with AAA titles and smaller, more unique experiments. Child of Light is worth checking out, even if you don’t normally follow the role-playing genre. And although there are a few downsides, it is still one of the biggest surprises of 2014 so far.

It took an unusual amount of effort for me to finally play Child of Light, but the game lingers fondly in my memory now that it finally happened. This is a unique and affecting title that is worth seeking out by any who haven’t tried it before. Just be prepared for Ubisoft not to make playing the game an easy task.
