Character cameo

One of the unlockable characters that can be found by collecting character cards is the "Flying Maiden", a long-haired Japanese shrine maiden clad in red and white. She is in fact Reimu Hakurei, one of the main characters from Touhou Project -- Touhou creator ZUN (real name Junya Ōta) was working as a programmer for Taito at the time, and snuck her in as an easter egg.
