Visually stunning with compelling gameplay. A must for fans of ‘Manga' and those who've ever fancied themselves as a ‘robojock'.
If you’re still not convinced that this hearty space opera is for you, then consider the fact that the European version comes loaded with some significant extra features over the American and Japanese versions. New levels, remixed missions and two new levels of difficulty that sound like hotel porn channels, European Hard and European Extreme, make up the bonus features and that’s plenty, especially considering the reams of bonus modes that Kojima enjoys shoehorning into all his games.
The first game promised much but delivered little. This sequel improves on every aspect. Play it and experience some of the fastest, most astonishing, beautiful robot fighting action ever.

Indeed, as we said in our preview of the US version of the game back in July, there is only one key criticism to be levelled at Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner - there simply isn't enough of it. The game is packed to the gills with imagination, stunning design and addictive, hugely varied gameplay - but while it triumphs in quality, it lacks in terms of quantity. We managed to plough through the main story mode in just over five hours, and while there's plenty more to explore in terms of VR missions and a fair degree of replayability (finishing the game unlocks new modes), it's still a disappointingly short experience.

Jag trodde aldrig att Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner skulle falla på spelkontrollen. Handlingen, ljudet eller spelupplevelsen skulle kunna vara aspirerande katastrofinslag, men så blev det icke. Att Hideo Kojima, en av världens bästa spelutvecklare, missade det mest fundamentala spelinslaget är helt obegripligt. Samtidigt bevisar det att Hideo Kojima är en människa han med. Vi gör alla misstag.
