Walmart's exclusive AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack offers 18 songs that you can drum, strum and sing along to, including such favorites as "Back In Black" and "Thunderstruck." You can also import these songs into your Rock Band 2 song list. Unfortunately, you'll finish solo tour mode within a couple of hours, there's no online multiplayer and the original master tracks aren't available. That makes it tough to justify spending $40 on the game. If you're an AC/DC fan though, buy this immediately. Otherwise, take caution before proceeding down the Highway To Hell.

All of these details are just a long way of restating what we said at the start of this review: There are some great AC/DC tracks here which would make a fantastic addition to any Rock Band collection, but you'll have to pay a premium to get them, including a lot of songs you're probably not interested in. Unless you're an absolute AC/DC fanatic, you're probably better served waiting to pick this up on sale sometime down the road.
GameSpot (Jan 08, 2009)
AC/DC Live's lower price and the ability to export songs to other Rock Band games makes up in part for the lack of content and shorter experience. However, it still feels like this game has squandered an opportunity to capitalise on the rich history that an iconic band such as AC/DC has, as well as the specific content offered by the AC/DC Live branding, given the amount of material on the attendant DVD. If you're a fan, you'll certainly get some thrills out of it, but it's not the definitive experience that it could have been, and casual fans of AC/DC and Rock Band will find that their money may be better spent elsewhere.

The biggest strike against AC/DC Live is that it's just too expensive for what you get. It's too bad, because this is a fantastic set of songs. If you can't live without AC/DC, then pick this up now. Otherwise, I'd wait for an eventual price drop. In either case, don't buy AC/DC Live unless you plan import the tracks to Rock Band. It's really not worth a damn as a stand-alone game.

Like GH: Aerosmith, this one's only really worth picking up if you - and several other Rock Band-inclined friends - are big fans of the group. For everyone else, I find it a bit hard to recommend paying the $50 asking price, when you probably only care about 4-5 of the songs, and don't even know half a dozen of them.

What do you for money baby)
