Realm of Gaming (Aug 12, 2013)
However, the Deadpool game itself was almost disappointingly short, all cut scenes put together not even breaking and hour and the average gameplay being under the average 30 hours for a game in general; but if there was ever a game with everything in it, Deadpool would definitely be that game.
IGN (Jun 25, 2013)
Behind Deadpool’s demented humor, creative script, and brilliant sight gags is a fairly conventional, generic action game. It’s not bad, but it’s not particularly good, either – and without oodles of hidden secrets or unlockables to discover, there’s really no reason to replay it once you’ve finished. Developer High Moon gets the character and brings the funny, but none of the action finesse that would make Deadpool stand out. If you’re a fan of boob jokes and dumb, repetitive, yet mildly fun gameplay, then Deadpool will offer you a weekend’s worth of silliness.
Giant Bomb (Jun 23, 2013)
The Merc with the Mouth is accurately realized in this otherwise clunky action game, though that might be more curse than blessing.
Gaming since 198x (Jan 24, 2014)
Diehard GameFan (Jul 03, 2013)
At the end of the day, Deadpool is a blast to play for fans of the character, but it still doesn’t have much value as an overall game. Action fans will not be satiated by the combat or the shooting one bit, and the short length keeps the game from offering much bang per buck. It’s funny, amusing, and worth a look. Once it reaches the bargain bin, you might just want to snatch it up. Until then, only diehard fans need apply.
