I can’t imagine anyone not having fun with this game, so buy it! And once you’ve played it and you’re hooked, get your friends hooked (not that it’ll be that hard to do).

2nd review In terms of Capcom fighters, I think Marvel Super Heroes will always be my favorite, but this game comes as a close second. I love this game and it is everything I love about good fighting games. The gameplay is a classic 2D style with some nice tweaks. I think 2D fighters rendered in 3D are the way to go right now really as I enjoyed the experience this game brought to the table a lot more than say Tekken 6. In terms of characters, I’m not worried since Jill and Shuma Gorath are on the way and more are bound to come soon.

In an age of instant-gratification games, MvC3 provides a refreshing challenge to fighting fans, comic fans, and those who like colorful characters who beat the crap out of one another. The road to the top is long, but like any good martial arts film has shown, the eventual arrival is a sweet thing indeed.
Game Over Online (Feb 28, 2011)
In the end, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a must have for any fighting game fan. If you somehow missed out on MvC 2, download it as well on whatever system you buy this for because they’re each top-notch fighters, and it’s only $10. MvC 3 delivers pretty much exactly what I would’ve expected a modern-day MvC to be - crazy gameplay, fantastic controls, a lot of roster variety and depth, and jaw-dropping graphics. The only area it underperforms in is the online play, which is still a little too laggy even with the patch and its barren online mode selection doesn’t do the game justice. Everything else is pretty much fantastic though, and that sole black mark isn’t big enough to dissuade me from giving this a high recommendation.

Though the online modes leave a lot to be desired, it’s forgivable as nothing can replace the old fashioned approach of playing with people in person. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 still stands as a welcomed addition to today’s fighting scene. For those having a hard time comprehending today’s fighters, MvC3 is there for you. Meanwhile, veterans can definitely say that this title hits the spot. Welcome to the show!

GameSpot (Feb 14, 2011)
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a blast to play, despite losing some of the high-level intricacies found in its predecessor. It's an exceptional synthesis of cohesion and chaos, and shows real improvement over its predecessor. Seeing it in motion for the first time in all its crisp, high-flying glory is an incredible sight; and thankfully, the game's controls are just as smooth as its visuals. However, when it's outside of the fight, the game stumbles and is found lacking in many of its modes. Nonetheless, this latest entry in the venerable versus series captures the spirit of the franchise and may wear the Marvel vs. Capcom title with pride.
Console Monster (Mar 25, 2011)
Whilst there may not be a huge amount of content available in MvC3, it doesn’t seem to suffer too badly for it. There’s still a lot to the game, such as learning to play each and every character to perfection, or if that’s not you thing, then sticking the game on very easy along with the simple control system and just enjoying the amazing and impressive animation and artwork on offer. For the game to work at its best though, a couple of arcade sticks and an equally eager mate playing on or offline vs. mode is where the most joy is to be had. MvC3 is a technically and visually striking title and might even be enough to convert the SSFIV die hard. Well worth checking out.
Giant Bomb (Feb 16, 2011)
While many will bristle at the mere sight of Marvel vs. Capcom 3's brand of crazy, it's actually a lot of fun once you put in some time and figure it all out.
Level 7 (Feb 16, 2011)
D+PAD Magazine (Mar 02, 2011)
As far as superhero showdowns go, you simply won’t find anything more spectacular than Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Critics could point to this third instalment as fan service from a series that should have evolved in more ways than it has – and in fairness they would have a point. What it does, however, is give players a chance to step into the shoes of some legendary characters and pull off devastating attacks, allowing newbies access to a club normally reserved for elitists prepared to sift through move lists ad nauseam. It’s all crazy, weird and eye-catching stuff, and certainly worth a look if you enjoy watching the likes of Chris Redfield and Captain America square off. Just make sure you’re set for people to play with, as the single-player modes are less than impressive.

While fighting fans will likely find plenty to enjoy in Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds this game is so frantic that you'll struggle to get to grips with what's happening on-screen. Audio visually this game impresses and for fans of the genre, or indeed this series, this third outing is well worth checking out.
Gameplanet (Mar 07, 2011)
It’s still a great two-player fighting game, and one suited best for a night in the lounge with your mates. The mechanics are slick, the graphics are great, and it’s a huge amount of fun.
GameSpy (Feb 15, 2011)
Regardless of how you feel, you'd probably start picking your favorite characters and learning your combos, because this one is the latest and greatest, and it will take its place among the most-played fighting games of the year, like it or not.
