RetroManiac (Aug, 2010)
TotalPlayStation (Aug 06, 2010)
Improved graphics, improved controls and the game itself is often argued to be the better of the two. This needs to be in your collection (not just in the vain hope that they’ll port Day of the Tentacle and Sam and Max: Hit the Road)
3D Juegos (Jul 08, 2010)
Sencillamente superlativo.
Game-Over! (Aug 05, 2010)
The entire package does a fantastic job of delivering all the fun, brain-teasing puzzles and hilarity for which the series is known. Guybrush and LeChuck are voiced by Dominic Armato and Terminator veteran Earl Boen respectively, as they (thankfully) have been since "Curse of Monkey Island" in 1997. The new animations and music breathe life into the game for veterans who may have already been through the title years ago (and many times at that), and if you are new to the adventure genre you owe it to yourself to take a stroll through a title that is considered a classic milestone that helped define the genre. For the price of a DvD you can ship out with Guybrush Threepwood and endeavor to rekindle the love of Elaine Marley and find the secret treasure of "Big Whoop!" It's more fun than an amusement park! (*snicker*)

Honestly the two Monkey Island remakes are some of the best downloadable games on the market right now. If you have the patience to deal with the absurd puzzles or don't mind looking up tips to get through the puzzles then this game is a must own. You really have to either hate point and click games with the burning passion of a thousand suns or not like dealing with downloadable games to dislike this title. The price point might be a bit much as you're paying $10 for what amounts to two and a half hours of game extended by how obtuse the puzzles are so that's something to keep in mind when looking to purchase this title.
Gamer Limit (Jul 11, 2010)
Monkey Island 2 stands alone even within the corpus of the developers’ other work. Though it is an imperfect offering, LeChuck’s Revenge is unforgettable as much for series veterans as it is for the player experiencing the game for the very first time.
Digital Chumps (Jul 13, 2010)
The improved controls (which are a bit tough to get use to) combined with fantastic visuals and updated presentation produces a revamped, better version of a classic tale. If you enjoyed the old Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, or you're looking for a tough as nails adventure, then look no further than Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge. LucasArts did a fantastic job on bringing a classic back to life.

Game Informer Magazine (Jul 08, 2010)
Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge is a great addition to your downloadable library. Whether you’re an old adventure gamer looking to scratch a nostalgic itch or a shellshocked shooter fan looking for a whimsical break from the fray, this game’s meager entry fee is well worth it.

The base experience of Monkey Island 2 is still as sharp as ever, though, with some of the wittiest dialogue and intelligent puzzles ever seen in an adventure game. It's just a shame the "special edition" part is a bit of a letdown - it's more of an average 2-disc edition than a deluxe Criterion version.
With the addition of unlockable concept art and commentary from Monkey Island's creators, this is a comprehensive package, and a welcome £7.99 addition to the good ship PSN. I always knew that little tuft-o-fluff would make me fashionable one day.
GameSpot (Jul 09, 2010)
Guybrush's treasure-hunting escapades can last you quite a while depending on how frequently you call upon the hint button, so those looking for a hearty adventure will find it here. The original material holds up remarkably well and is sure to elicit delighted groans and giggles alike, depending on how sympathetic you are to unscrupulous coffin salesmen. The new visuals and sound not only do justice to the classic presentation, but they also beautifully enhance it and add their own appeal. And the developer commentary from Ron Gilbert, Tim Schafer, and Dave Grossman provides an amusing glimpse into the minds behind this quirky classic. At the very reasonable price of $9.99, Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge is an adventure well worth adding to your inventory, no matter how stuffed with hubcaps, voodoo dolls, and cheese squigglies it may be.
