Four characters not found in the original arcade Vampire Savior (but in its pseudo-sequel Vampire Savior 2) made it to the home versions of the game: the robot guardian Huitzil (Phobos in Japan), the alien Pyron, the jiangshi Hsien-Ko (Lei-Lei in Japan) and Dark Hunter Donovan Baine.
